Friends of Geelong Botanic Gardens Invite
THE ENIGMA OF FOSTER FYANS.
Denise Feldman, the President of the Friends of Geelong Botanic Gardens has extended an invitation to an event she believes our members would be interested in. It takes place on Monday 15 July from 5:30pm and attendees will have supper and meet the author of ‘Frontier Magistrate – The Enigmatic Foster Fyans’.
The Friends of Geelong Botanic Gardens would like to welcome all interested people to join us for supper (finger food dinner), followed by our guest speaker author John Cary. John has extensively researched Foster Fyans, a notable figure in Geelong’s early history, including being the first Chief Magistrate and on the first Committee of Management of Geelong Botanic Gardens.
John recently published a book on Frontier Magistrate, The Enigmatic Foster Fyans by John Cary. Books will be available for sale on the night.
Monday 15 July, commencing at 5.30 for supper followed by the talk. The evening will conclude at 7.30pm.
Tickets $20 for Friends members and $30 non-members. Bookings are essential and may be made by phone on 03 5229 0071 or on the Friend’s website here. Secure parking is next to the depot area at the rear of Geelong Botanic Gardens, on the corner of Holt Rd and Eastern Park Circuit.
